The Black Cat Cafe, New Bread Molds & Kitchen Sale

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Collage Sheets, Giveaways, Laura Carson, Miniatures, Sale, Streets of Paris, Tutorials

Remember Design Team Member Laura Carson’s Chocolate Shop from a few week’s ago? That was the fifth post of a series.

Today’s project is the sixth (!) of many that will roll out over the next few months… all leading to building a group of miniature Parisian shops: The Streets of Paris. There will be a chocolate shop, a cafe, clothing boutique, flower shop, bookstore & pharmacy. I can’t wait to see all the details! More info here.

So, on to today’s project: Cafe du Chat Noir — The Black Cat Cafe!

The new products and techniques shown today can be used on all sort of projects (whether building a chocolate store or not)!

Silicone Mold - Small Round Bread LoafWow! Believe it or not, I’m starting you off slowly. Start with the courtyard, window and door to the cafe (upper right corner of the photos above). Then you can see a close-up of that bay window on the strip at left (shown in daylight, so less yellow light than the version with interior lights in the overview shot). Then the bottom 2 close-ups that finish up that grid: both are close-ups of the other 2 photos: a dessert plate with a red checkerboard napkin (part of Laura’s new The Black Cat Cafe Digital Set) and bread and cheese from the glass shelf in the bay window (featuring bread from the new Silicone Mold – Small Round Bread Loaf)! Whew!

Back to that new Digital Images Set (and TWO related collage sheets: The Black Cat Cafe and Cafe Bottle Labels): The set is packed with images to decorate the inside and outside of a cafe (from posters/signs to window glass (that strip showing the close-up of the bay window uses one), to labels for wine, champagne & other alcohols, napkins & menus… even awnings and the umbrellas for the tables)!

From her blog post:
I don’t think I could have packed one more thing into this project. I have so many ideas, tips and tricks to share with you that I’ve recorded three video tutorials. The first video covers assembling the cafe and the non-food items. The second and third cover the polymer clay food and drinks.

See everything Laura used (inside and out) in her supply list. I haven’t even mentioned the inside of the cafe yet, but see the Giveaway below for photos! And come back after enjoying her tutorial videos (plural) for new items, a new sale, new FREE gift, and a related Giveaway!

New Sale and New Cafe Bottle Labels FREE Gift

Everything in the Miniatures for Kitchen & Sewing section is on sale! — the sale ends MONDAY night, June 18th. That includes the new bowl & plate sets and silverware announced today and a ton of little props for making a cafe scene!

And there’s a new FREE Gift with ALL Orders!

Laura has graciously created a mini version of her new Cafe Bottle Labels Half Sheet! Wine, beer, soda & liquor labels, all in 1:12 scale. ALL ORDERS now through Monday, June 18th will get one of the new Cafe Bottle Labels Gift Kits FREE! That’s a mini collage sheet PLUS one of the bottles shown at left (that the labels fit), randomly chosen. (Those are Miniature Wine Bottles, Miniature Gin Bottle and Resin Olive Oil Bottle).

Hooray for the Black Cat Cafe Bar Giveaway!

Ok… even constraining myself to the bar inside the cafe is going to be too daunting. But I’ve picked out a few items from the TWO photos below to get you started on a project of your own.

Isn’t Laura’s bar beautiful! I had to show the overview photo (above) before the close-up photo below. From the lighting (above the brass trim at the top of the photo and underneath (that highlight the bottles and hanging glasses)) it just looks so fancy!

On to the close-up photo: look at those fab bottles! The Giveaway starts with one each of all 15 bottles that Laura’s new Cafe Bottle Labels Half Sheet fit (yes, that collage sheet is included, too)! That includes the new 1:12 Resin Brandy Bottles – in Red and Brown (one that Laura turned into an Absinthe bottle, pretty much in the center of the photo).

I’m also including the other new collage sheet: The Black Cat Cafe, for the little bit of the menus you can see at the top right of the photo.

And see that thin gold trim (with the dot pattern) at the front of the bar? That’s from the Dazzles Gold Thin Lines Stickers (yes, included in the Giveaway).

AND one each of these fruit polymer canes so you can cut up a tray of garnishes: lime, lemon & orange.

To enter the Black Cat Cafe Bar Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, Friday Night, June 15, 2018).

AND tell me: How will you use all these bottles? French bistro? Wine in a picnic basket? Potion bottles for Halloween?

Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.

Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you don’t see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!

After midnight, I’ll randomly pick the winner (via Random.org).

Hey, who won the 2 Mini Framed Booklets Giveaway from Sunday’s newsletter? That would be Peg C! Congrats! Check your email for info.
