Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. But you can try searching on the same names (as links below) on the new site.

I know… it’s almost pumpkin time. And I love the new Carved Pumpkin Distress Color by Tim Holtz! It’s just so festive! I think it will be a good wake-you-up, cheery color that’s useful far beyond Halloween. Hey, and all of the Carved Pumpkin inks, paints and stains are both new and ALL On Sale! View all of the Carved Pumpkin Distress Color Products

Plus, we’ve got inspirational artwork today by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel and Design Team Coordinator Miz Bella (Kim Ayers) that both feature lots of orange…

Starting with Kristin’s Retro Halloween Houses — and the fab Trick or Treat 12×12 Collection Kit!

This group of papers is just so fun! Bright and silly mid-century prints of kids in Halloween costumes abound.

Kristin fell in love with the papers, too, and used them exclusively to decorate her Retro Halloween Houses (made with Small Paper Mache Houses).

Read more on Kristin’s blog.

Next up is Miz Bella’s Trick or Treat Halloween Banner! (See the wide photo below.)

Who wouldn’t want this banner to decorate for Halloween? It’s like an instant party!

Bella used the same Trick or Treat 12×12 Collection Kit — both under and over the new Halloween Pennant Pad. That little pad of 24 polka dotted pennants (and black & white twine) makes easy work of creating a Halloween banner.

I would love to make a little house wall hanging. The architectural details are wonderful as is the owl!

YES! I just bought my pumpkin yesterday. As for decorating, I love Halloween and make all kinds of cloth dolls, so needless to say, I need a bigger house, but I have on display all my dolls – bats, spiders, fairies, witches and cats and more! This is a great giveaway!

Yes we carve pumpkins real and artificial I saved all the ones from my girls year after year. I start decorating Sept 16th after my girls birthdays. I have a very large collection so I start early to enjoy it as long as I can. Inside and out!. My partner has been converting foam headstones to cement so we have our own cemetery in our yard. He likes Halloween as much as I do!

  8. Kristie N says:

Instead of getting a pumpkin to carve, my hubby asks for pumpkin seeds from everyone who does the carving. He loves to bake them with seasonings . His favorite snack during Halloween.

Well, Orange is my favorite color, so this is definitely my favorite time of year. I just got out all the autumn and Halloween stuff. Made a tower of orange and white pumpkins for the front porch and a village of spooky houses for a side table.

I have a large pair of carved styrofoam pumpkins that I bought years ago. By cutting out a hole in the bottom I am able to slip each one over a carriage light on our front porch. They work great. I spend my creative time making paper Halloween ornaments for sisters, nieces and grandkids.

Love that paper. No more carving with these old hands.

It’s just enough spooky without scary our small trick-or-treaters!
