Decorate Your Halloween Tree!

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply lists for both projects on the new site: Nichola’s Halloween Tree with Ornament and Bella’s Enjoy the Journey Tombstones.
Before Miz Bella tells you about Nichola’s Halloween Tree (and I get to tell you about Bella’s witty tombstones), there’s a new FREE gift! Teri Calia graciously provided this week’s gift: a Halloween Cameo Frames Collage Sheet with spooky cameos in frames (similar to the ornaments Nichola hangs from her tree).
This sheet is FREE for all orders, regardless of order size! If you place an all-digital order, I’ll send you the Gift Sheet as a pdf file. Teri borrowed from my Oval Cameo & Mirror Frames Collage Sheet, and resized images from all of these Halloween collage sheets (in case you want more images like those in these cameos).
AND, don’t forget: Laura Carson’s Haunted Village Halloween Event is live!! And not only that: last Sunday was PART 2! Also, there’s a new Haunted Village Intro Page that has all the current links, and will continue to be updated through September.!
Here comes Miz Nichola Battilana with her magnificent Halloween Tree to rest your eyes upon!
Nichola took the Cemetery Kit and the Cemetery Add-On Kit and made up a fabulous zombie infested scene complete with a spooky tree. Don’t worry – the Wrought Iron Fence will keep the zombie from slithering out and eating you up!
“I created the tree by binding several branches together with wire, then spray painting the whole kaboole in matte black. The ‘tree’ sits in a cauldron with zombie infested cemetery scene using pieces from the August Cemetery and Add-On Kit.
On the branches of the tree I’ve created some little ornaments, stringing together beads and gruesome things like this Large White Turquoise Skull Bead.
I also created a bunch of simple paper ornaments and to show off some spooky doodads like this Halloween Poison Cameo.”
Super cute, don’t you think? I’m thinking I’m going to follow Nichola’s tutorial and make some of those ornaments for my own Halloween tree; I may even have An Eerie Tale Scrapbook Paper laying around here to use like Nichola did.
Here is Nichola’s Halloween Tree with Ornaments Supply List.
Head on over to Pixie Hill to see Nichola’s super easy tutorial and more pictures.
Next up: Enjoy the Journey Tombstones!!
These are fabulous. (See the wide photo below.) A bit (!) of black humor, but I love to see Miz Bella let her true colors out.
Bella started with the new Chipboard Standing Tombstones Set (perfect for decorating a table for a Halloween party). Bella says:
“I love how easily the tombstones took the Lindy’s sprays, and how fast it was to decorate the surfaces with the Going Somewhere and Floral Tattoo Cling-Mounted Stamp Sets.”
And the (ahem) life-affirming phrases from that Going Somewhere Cling-Mounted Stamp Set are a perfect match for those creepy clowns.
Here’s a partial list of additional supplies:
– Embossing Powder – Super Fine Detail Black (used with the stamps to resist the color sprays)
– Reversible Clowns Collage Sheet
– Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays – Sweet Violet Purple Teal

Hey, who won the Textured Haunted Houses Giveaway? That would be Sylvia L!
She replied to my question “Tell me if you’ll try out Shanna’s texture technique. Also: are the other textures you’d like for make faux walls or flooring?”:
I definitely want to try the brick wall in my haunted doll house. Maybe the stone for a path as well. Cobblestone and barn wood textures would be nice.
