Poe Cameos, Distress Stain Sprays, FLASH Sale

Remember Lora Mahaffey’s Poe Shrine (from the newsletter announcing the Poe Kit)? She used a vintage oval frame over an image of Monsieur Poe (against an ATC — one of the More Gothic Tombstones ATC Bases to be precise… see the snippet at left).
And between Lora’s shrine and Teri Calia’s New and On Sale! Poe Cameos Collage Sheet I decided that a collage sheet of cameo frames was in order. In fact, a FREE Oval Cameo Frames Mini Collage Sheet! With a mix of ornate frames sized for 2 of the sizes of cameos on Teri’s sheet, there’s sure to be something in there you’ll find useful.
And, Laura let me “borrow” an image from each of these collections of loverly frames:

Now I’m handing this off to Miz Bella (Kim Ayers) for a quick intro on Design Team Member Kristin Batsel’s Edgar Allan Poe Chalkboard (really quick, as I’ve taken up most of the space)!
Here we have Kristin Batsel and her ahhhdorable Edgar Allan Poe Chalkboard.
Kristin painted a thrifty frame from a craft store then used all sorts of fun embellishements on it. Plastic Skeletons, Pumpkin Pods, and if you look really closely…..one of the skeletons is holding a decorated LED Tea Light. How cute is that?
Instead of putting a plain old photo in the frame, Kristin painted the backboard of it with New and On Sale! Chalkboard Paint. Using an image from the Edgar Allan Poe Collage Sheet, Edgar is peeking in to say a word or two of Kristin’s choosing, such as “I love Alpha Stamps!” Yes that is awfully cute, but I bet I could make Edgar say much more colorful words than that . Words he would love to say because they were so very naughty, very naughty indeed! Of course I would tell you these words but your ears would instantly catch fire and you’d never be quite the same.
(Psst… it isn’t quite the same wooden frame, but Leslie has put one of the On Sale! Wood ATC Frames in today’s Giveaway, which would make a smaller/ATC-sized frame for your own Poe chalkboard.)
