TWO Theatres by Nichola Battilana and New Tim Holtz Tag & Sale

Just for you! Design Team Member Nichola Battilana has two projects to feast your eyes upon!
Continuing the June Paper Theatre Kit theme, Nichola has created a stunning Venetian Theatre that is her ode to Venice. Covering the box in Double Dot Vintage Ocean Scrapbook Paper and then using images from the Ships and Waves Backdrops and The Canals Collage Sheets provides the base of her theatre (and I love all the depth with multiple layers of curtains and waves).

Of course you know I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Arlecchina jumping jack on either side of the theatre from the Pierrette Collage Sheet! The Pierrette Collage Sheet makes me want to create something out of that fabulous sheet of images and it also reminds me that I would like my own Arlecchina to boss around and take with me wherever I go. Applications are always being accepted, but I digress!
Back to Nichola’s theatre: the scrumptious Dresden abounds. Gold Fleur de Lys Dresden Borders on the top fan-folded middle piece; and (my new favorite) the Wide Scalloped Dresden Border Set across the top opening (and pieces of it cut to make the narrower gold borders outlining the other 3 sides of the stage).
The final touch: Small Wooden Finials placed on the bottom of the box to give it a little bit of height (and trimmed with Thin Fleur Dresden Borders – Turquoise to pull all the colors together).

Next by Nichola is a lovely shadowbox made out of a Small Paper Theatre Box that she has dressed up with a gorgeous woman and flowers from the La Mode – Papillon Collage Sheet.
Layered on and within the box is the 7/8 Inch Fancy Fan Ivory Lace and butterflies from the Mixed Size Butterflies Dresden Scraps are scattered throughout the Paris scene. I think it’s really cute how the 3/8 Inch Ivory Looped Lace looks like a little fence on the bottom of the box with the Fern Garland poking out from the side of it. It’s always the smallest of details that get me! Speaking of small details — did you notice the way-too-cute (and New and On Sale!) Masonite Wheels on the bottom of the box? I love how wheels can instantly turn ordinary objects into something whimsical and so cute!

Oh, but we’re not done yet! And that most clever Tim Holtz has made another in his series of monthly tags (with tutorial) and we’ve got all the new goodies he used (in stock and On Sale!)
