Beach Art + New Halloween – and Giveaway!

Oh, it’s a little catch-up newsletter! We’ve got some more cute beachy projects from the Design Team (and note: this Saturday, July 20th is the final day of the Beach Theme Sale). And we have more new (and adorable!) Halloween items.
So on to the new artwork!
The Pirate's Gold Treasure Chest (shown at far right) is by Teri Calia. Teri did an amazing job painting and decorating a simple paper mache box to make it looks like much heavier/more substantial wood. Plus I love the way she bent the Brass Shell Corners to make handles for the sides of the chest. And Teri used one of the New! Blue Mini LED Lights inside the chest lid (to gives an eery glow to the gold inside)!
Next up in the new art parade are two lanterns, both with mermaid themes, by Design Team Members Lora Mahaffey and Laura Carson. And perfect timing, because those Black Tea Lanterns are back in stock. Note: that mermaid image inside of Lora’s lantern (shown at left) is from the On Sale! The Deep Blue Sea Collage Sheet.

And finally, there are two beach-themed banners, by Design Team Members Nichola Battilana and Shannon Tuttle! I love the underwater garden Shannon created with wire and sequins on the On Sale! Die-Cut Chipboard Sand Castle pennant in her banner (see close-up at far right). And those Colorful Flower Sequins she used are back in stock.
And I love how all of the projects by the Design Team, using the same 3 chipboard shapes from the Seaside Sirens Kit, turned out so differently (like Nichola’s beach babe with the yellow parasol at right). Hooray for the July Heatwave Beach Giveaway! Miss Meghan has pulled together a fun collection of beach-themed pieces — a little bit from each of the Design Team projects listed above. And, yes, all of you feeling faint in the giant heatwave on the east coast of the US have my sympathies. But maybe something in these cool green and aqua colors will help you feel a bit cooler.
