French Dress Shoppe by Lora Mahaffey + Paper Doll Giveaway!

Look at this miniature, most mahhvelous French Dress Shoppe vignette that Miz Lora Mahaffey has created. It almost makes you want to put yourself in a Shrinky Dink machine so that you can use it yourself, doesn’t it? Having spoken with Miz Lora and knowing how she does indeed cackle makes looking at it all the better; but oh how I digress!
The 2 most favorite pieces of the entire piece for me are the Mini Wooden Coat Hanger and the sweet little dress that is hanging on it from the (On Sale!) More Fairy Tale Costumes – Royalty Collage Sheet. Wow. There’s a mouthful!
With just a few simple supplies listed here as well as a few other supplies that you’ll find on Lora’s blog, you can create your own fancy French Dress Shoppe. Perhaps even with a few Paper Dolls to go along with it!

Great selection- I have Elizabth Taylor and Debbie Reynolds paper-dolls from the 50’s- found them at an estate sale- very cool…..I love the stuff you have to go with them….

I have always loved paper dolls. My favorite babysitter when I was a kid made original paperdolls for us when she came over. I still have most of them tucked away in a safe place. Great giveaway…as always!

I miss finding paper dolls in the stores. I love these, they remind me of som “Ann Blythe” paper dolls I had as child. (She was an actress in the 40’s and 50’s.)

This is probably the best giveaway since I started receiving the newsletter! The idea of lovely dress shops always appealed to me as a small child. I grew up in an isolated rural area and our clothes came from the Sears catalog. I only knew of fancy shops from the books I read and from visits from city relatives. I used to pretend with my dolls and a shoe box I decorated with cutouts from those old Sears catalogs. This is what I aspired to.
