Steampunk + Peacock Armoire Tutorial by Laura Carson (Part 2)

If you remember back a couple of weeks ago, Laura Carson posted Part I of her ATC Armoire Tutorial that gave you all sorts of ideas and options for gathering up your supplies to make your own ATC Armoire.

I hope you have your supplies gathered because, get ready… Part II of the tutorial is ready!!

Wow — wait until you see Part II. (I suggest having your smelling salts handy!) In Part I, Laura showcased a Larger French Style as well as a Regency Style Armoire. Additionally in Part II Laura will also show how to make a Time Machine – Steampunk Themed Armoire and a Peacock Dress Form Armoire. Swooooonnnn!!! All four styles are over the moon, good luck choosing which one you’d like to make.

If you adore Steampunk, then you will love the Time Machine – Steampunk Themed Armoire (see two photos below). Where to start on this one? The Small Typo Bulbs? The Mini Gears? How about those Vintage Mechanicals – Mini Numbers? There’s so much to explore on this one! I bet if you open up those doors you may end up falling into another time period…..perhaps even dimension. But I digress… on to the armoire that I covet.

Since I love all sorts of Dress Forms, my absolute favorite armoire is the Peacock Dress Form Armoire. It has such a gorgeous turquoise and Patina color palette, the Vintage Die-Cut Chipboard Dress Forms on the front are stand-outs and the “stained glass” windows on each door are beautiful. (Also because inside of the armoire you could showcase small pieces of artwork on each shelf.) Believe it or not, creating the stained glass windows is a fairly simple process and of course, you guessed it, Miz Laura shows you how to create it!

Laura has a (New!) Hardware Collage Sheet as well as her recent Tick Tock and Whimsical Frames Collage Sheets that makes creating your armoires easier than having to attach (and source!) the real things.
