After all of this grey weather (or snow, if you’re in sunny California) aren’t you all ready for some splashes of color?! Design Team Member Kira Nichols has created a deeeelightfully fun tutorial that will show you how to make 8 Funky Backgrounds Using Tim Holtz Distress Stains!
Kira will walk you through step-by-step how to create some gorgeous background tags using things you may just have laying around the house. One technique uses a baby wipe which leaves your background looking like a soft, watercolor tye-dye and another uses a rubber stamp that reminds me of the way Batik fabric looks. Create a bunch of Manila Tags like Kira has done and add some oh-so-cute images from any of our Collage Sheets and you have an instant bookmark, gift tag or tag book ready-made! (Kira used images from the Catnip Kittys Collage Sheet.)
