Sweet Sugar Skulls and Texture Tutorial

Rhea Freitag has given us a quick and easy tutorial on using Kroma Crackle — the fabulous new crackling medium on her Sugar Skulls!
Whether you use a little bit (fine cracks) or a lot (larger cracks) you will love the texture that you can achieve with the Kroma Crackle. I personally prefer the larger cracks, as in the picture Rhea has showed us on an additional book project she is working on in her tutorial.
The large sugar skull mask that Rhea created is my favorite part of the tutorial. Those eyes! Don’t you just love how she layered the eyes with Paper Flowers, Filigree, and Sunflower Charms? My Poppets, don’t you think that the sugar skull mask would look most fabulous hanging on my wall?! But I digress!

I think that the smaller, Sugar Skull Ornaments are adorable. If you’re wondering how Rhea colored the Sunflower Charms, I really should make you read the tutorial for yourself but hey!
