Our Guest Designer for September is the very talented Carol Berger! Carol has created beautiful, nostalgic artwork related to the Cabinet Card Curiosities Swap.
Hello from Michigan! I am Carol Berger, a mixed media, collage and altered art artist all of which show one thing in common: my love for anything old and tattered, and anything “nature.” I have a passion for things that cannot ever be replaced once they have been discarded. In terms of my art, that includes antique ephemera and photographs, vintage buttons, old scraps of aged lace, sparkly rhinestone pieces and found objects galore. In terms of my other passion, nature and animals, I am equally obsessed with both. I currently donate 10% of my QueenBe Etsy shop sales to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and enjoy my free time helping animals in need, and enjoying nature.
Making art has been in my blood since I can remember, but only in the last few years when I discovered vintage style altered art, have I really poured my heart and soul into it. Raising 4 kids has not left me with much free time, but thankfully my patient and understanding husband has always encouraged me to pursue anything that makes me happy. Well, teaching workshops, stocking my Etsy shop, doing an occasional art show, participating in swaps and guest designer spots, and learning new techniques are the things that make me happy!!
I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to showcase some creations that I have made for Alpha Stamps!!
