Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. But you can try searching on the same names (as links below) on the new site.
Ouch. I really did. And I do understand that times are tough. So in case you’d love to join The Romance of Perfume Fan Swap but don’t have the cash, this Giveaway’s for you. Even if you don’t have time to join the swap, I bet there’s some lovely little something in this group of goodies that you’ll covet.
And if you are feeling flush (but not necessarily lucky enough to trust winning the drawing), EVERYTHING in the Giveaway (all listed/linked below) is ON SALE!
Here we go:
5 Fancy Fan Blades (the number you’d need for the swap). Alpha Stamps exclusives!
4 Collage Sheets:
– Romantic Perfume Labels Collage Sheet
– 18th Century Fans Collage Sheet
– The Lovely Garden Collage Sheet
– The 4th is YOUR CHOICE! Some of the new collage sheets designed for the swap are more hot pink than the ones I chose (like Pink Fans or Roses & Fans) or you may want some other borders or roses to supplement your designs.
AND you may choose to receive your collage sheets as digital downloads instead of cardstock.
3 Scrapbook Papers:
– London Market Addington Scrapbook Paper
– London Market Kensington Scrapbook Paper
– Glittered Polka Dots Scrapbook Paper
18th Century Cameo
and a matching Antique Brass Setting (isn’t she a lovely girl?)
PLUS, I’m giving the winner their choice of ONE of these 5 paper sets (same theory holds about whether you’re going for a more subdued or hot palette). (And all of them are on sale, too!)
– London Market 6×6 Paper Pack
– Vintage Parlor Wallpaper 8×8 Paper Pack
– Be Happy: 6×6 Paper Pad
– Sweet Nothings Paper Pad
– Pretty in Pink 6×6 Paper Pad
Whew! Nice haul, huh? I had a bit of fun wandering around and picking things out.
Here are the rules: This lovely Giveaway will be awarded to a lucky person chosen by random number drawing.
To enter the Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post and tell me how you’d use the goodies (don’t forget to leave your email address, too, so I can contact the winner; note, your email address does not need to be made public). (I’m even including free shipping… though only in the U.S.A.)
After 12:01 a.m. on Friday morning, April 13, 2012, I’ll randomly pick the winner (you have until Thursday night at midnight, April 12, 2012 to enter).
So leave me a comment and tell your friends!
There are so many possibilities! Where to start would be a fun problem. But I’d force myself to choose. I’d start by making several cabs to bead around with beads from my wonderful antique collection of french tri-cut beads, size 18o. I’ve got a lovely collection of glass drops from India that I picked up years ago. I’d use niobium ear wires which come in colors. Then I’d take some of the lovely cabs that I made and add some roses and make a few charm bracelets. Then with more of the left over paper I’d make a lampshade or two because I have these fabulous and very long lampshade bugle beads that have been sitting in my collection for several years just waiting for the right lampshade to show up. Or I could take the paper and make a paper bowl and some paper tea cups out of it which I would add the roses to for that romantic look. I could use the tea cups or bowl to put a small arrangement of ribbon roses with some baby’s breath for compliment. Or I could just make a cute little gift bag for some oh so wonderful chocolates for a great thinking of you gift. Or I could make some book marks or I could make a few fun coasters for a tea party give away (It’s been years since I had a tea party, it was english and very, very high tea fashioned! I did my research and even sent out by snail mail, invations) I could make cards with this paper, or little art works to add to the walls of my house which has been being turned into art since I moved in here. Or I could turn this into part of fabric paper. It’s a technique that I’m learning about that takes muslin and collages it and then puts tissue over it and then it gets a glaze and apparently you can sew the finished pieces together. I’ve been envisioning a wall quilt made of fabric paper. So, I could do lots and lots and lots of stuff with this give away.
Oooooo – those colors!! So lovely!! I have an altered board book in the shape of a hand, that’s dying for a cover. The stuff in the giveaway would be that cover.
Hmmm, I see the possibilities of an altered book in the making. Historical romance / mystery themed here. Language of fans and flowers are a possible twist in the plot. Who knows, the possibilities are endless.
I have a couple of boxes that look like books that makeup came in years ago. The makeup has since been used but I held onto the boxes. Altering them is on my list of things to craft and these papers are such an inspiration.
I’ve been wanting to create an altered canvas for my powder romm and this would be perfect for that project and I could also make some fancy perfume bottles
I’d use them to decorate a cigar box in a romantic theme.
Oh, my! I just got my package of purchases from Alpha Stamps yesterday and I would love to win this drawing to give me even more beautiful stuff to make beautiful things!
I would use the sheets to make each fan blade different! That would make it really fun. The cameo would be used on the front blade. All the extra pieces I would use for making romantic ATC’s
This would allow me to enter the fan swap–I have never done a swap before so it would be fun to try!!
I’d love them for cards!!
Hi – I would use for ATCs or for wall art for the bathroom. Would be fun to decoupage and stamp away!
Be Happy and London Market are my favorite pads.
I see an altered book in my future!!!!!
Oh love all of these wonderful items. I have been making secret treasure boxes, with small note books inside.
I have been looking for some very romantic and femimine papers and images for a box for my sister. these would certainly be the best I have ever seen for my project, and the fans would become the note cards inside the box, using the cameo as the hinge part of the fan book.
I have coveting those gorgeous little windows you advertised today and I can see how combined with this superb paper, I might be able to complete the fabulous tutorial Laura Carson did two weeks back for the French frames. I think that would be stunning.
Would love to win these lovely items to create a beautiful fan with! Please enter me into the drawing….thanks so much! Robin
I would use these wonderful items to create some very nice collages.
I’d create a crazy over-the-top glitzy fan (feathers, lots of glittery bling) that only a royal would have used. 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win!
—–>Sandra
I would use some images on the cover of my journals.
I would just horde them away like I do with everything I love because I can’t bring myself to cut, glue, tape them. But I’ll take them out once in a while and admire them and dream of all the things I can create with them. And then someday in the future when I’ve all but forgotten I have them, I’ll discover them and create something beautiful. Something that can’t be recreated because all the papers and supplies have been discontinued.
I would create some ATC’s to trade and spread the beauty of these supplies!
These are absolutely beautiful papers. I would love to create a spring mini album with these products. Love your store and blog.
These are so beautiful! Still learning to scrap and craft and these are a perfect inspiration to get started on a wonderful project. Thanks for opportunity to win!
I would use them to make fans (of course!LOL) and also some lovely ATCs & maybe a few inchies too.
Smiles~
Marilyn
FABULOUS GIVEAWAY! I’d make the fan, of course, decorating it with the papers, fibers, etc. Then, I’ve been wanting to create stationery boxes with note cards inside as gifts. I’d have plenty of materials to do so if I won!
I would use all these lovely items to make my own fan. thanks for the chance!
My mother turns 70 this year, and I am taking her on a trip all round the UK. I’d use these materials to make her a heavily embellished travel journal/scrapbook, in which she can save her ticket stubs, small souvenirs, postcards, and photos. She (and I) love the vintage look, so this would suit her perfectly.
I would love to use these beautiful items on cards and altered gift tags. It’s so difficult to find new things when my local shopping is limited to Michael’s and Hobby Lobby! Internet shopping does save gas…but the credit card could get easily burned!
Well I’d use all these beautiful goodies to enter the fan swap of course!
I am making two fabric journals for my two sisters’ birthdays. I would use the beautiful papers on my fan blades and make atc cards, tags, etc., and insert them in the fabric journals. I can also use all of the other embellishments on my fan blades and on the journals as well. I was having a little difficulty thinking what I can use on the cover and inside the journals, but now just looking at the papers and embellishments in this Giveaway, my imagination is running away and getting the better of me with so many creative ideas. I’m so excited!
Im had received an order a week ago and happy wiit my purches and would love to win Thank you
This is a generous offering, love to create with this, hope I win!!
OH WOW!! I have been on your site everyday for two weeks looking at the fan swap and trying to figure out how I could enter! This would be awesome to win and then swap! My imagination is in overdrive! Thanks for offering such a great prize!
Wow! What a scrumptious giveaway! I’m sure I’d use some of it on cards, but it would be fun to try something new like an altered book or a mini album!
At the moment i like to make all kind of large tags, and very different, for many occasions, those papers would do fun tags with all kind of glitter and flowers added…
I make small, free standing chip board “shrines” for my friends who are going through tough times. I have never been disappointed in any of your products and would love to expand the horizons of the shrines with these awesome products!
I would use them for mixed media jewelry!
In keeping with “random” pick for this wonderful giveaway, I have already designed a random paper-tray alternative collage using all these free goodies with pieces from my Alpha Stamp-stash…yippy for happy crafting!
I’d make a card and several ATC’s for a swap buddy who has terminal cancer ~
Thanks for the chance~
I’d cover a box, do some collage, make a couple cards….the possibilities are endless. Thanks for the chance at a wonderful giveaway.
Wow, pure gorgeousness!!! I’m with Mary C. above who says she would hoard them just to admire the products every so often!! But then, after a short (or long) time, I would pull them out and start to play. Probably make up some ATC’s just to get into the mood…and then a journal or two. Those fan blades would be awesome for the front of the journals, or for home decor items. So many ideas!!
I would love to win a set of these beautiful papers. The name really fits the designs. I would love to join the swap and post the beautiful creation on my blog!
Thanks…
Gigi
Ooh la la!!!!! I would use these items to join the swap!!! Then whatever I’d have leftover I’d use to make gifts-ATCs,cards,mini notebooks etc. thanks for the chance to win and be able to play in a swap here too!
I would start with A photo journal for my mom to give to her on Mothers Day and then start making some beautiful cards.
I see the ladies on the Fan Page speaking words of wisdom and perseverance to today’s women. I would like to design some cards for our local cancer center. Thank you.
I have a mini arch book I have been working on and these papers would work wonderfully!!! Spring has Sprung and Romance is in the air!
I love pink and the vintage look. What a wonderful grouping. I would definitely make cards to share and a small journal cover for my own.
I would start by jumpping up and down because I won then, a new album for my Mother-in-law. I would also make some postcards to send out to friends.
I love the color pink and the vintage theme. I would love to have this package to create cards and a small journal cover for myself.
Alice
I have some clear acrylic pieces for an album and have been wanting to embellish it in a lush way. If I were to win, I were pay for my own shipping to Canada! Even with gas $4.80 per gallon.
I’ve been doing way too much Scrapbooking. I need to lighten up and do some altered book and ATC art. The beautiful roses would really be a change of pace for me. BTW I scrap boys and more boys. I will go looking for my girly girly mojo. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have used up my art money this month and would love to win a free kit for crafting more, more, more !!! Would love to work on the fan blades.
How lovely! I do favor the Sweet Nothings paper pad, but, I must confess, I would darken things up(or down) a bit…perhaps a mourning dove or two…maybe under the influence of Edward Gorey. Yes, I think that would be delightful. xoxo
What lovely items! And what fun I would have playing with them! I think I’d enter the fan swap!!! And then I’d use anything left to decorate a jewelry box. Thanks for the chance to win! Anne, yourmainestamper
These papers are gorgeous. I think I would use them to make a mixed media wedding canvas for a friend.
So very nice of you to offer this wonderful gift. I would make an art journal for my mom to give her as a gift for mothers day!
I defintely would use the items in this giveaway for an altered canvas and some bookmarks.
How would I use them…think “Home Alone”. I’d go running through the house (a real feat for me who uses a cane) laughing maniacally, and then the scissors would come out, the glue stick and the Gold stuff would more than likely glue one or two fingers together, and I would go nuts, do you hear me? Well and truly nuts! People would be afraid to come to the house! My dog, Oliver, would forget his supper and try to stuff all 107 lbs of himself under the bed, and I would be such a happy girl. Ok, old girl, to finally have won!!!
I just got some beautiful marble dominos at a thrift store yesterday. I think they’d look great in an altered art project, maybe a cigar box shrine with all those wonderful romantic goodies.
I would love to win because if I can’t travel to England, at least I would have a ‘bit of the ole chap’ for an afternoon of delightful creating. Cheerio! and away I would love to go to merry ol’ England.
Goodness, great giveaway! Collage, tags, greeting cards, doll costumes. It would be fun! Thank you!
Oh, I would be having so much fun with these doing collages and some other interesting items. I love the idea of the fan because I have never worked with it before, but I am open to working with elements I haven’t tried before.
How beautiful is this collection. I have this shadow box that I would create into a theater with some of the collection, and I also have vintage bottles to cover with the labels, pendants, etc. Crossing my fingers and toes for luck!
Oooh! I’m salivating and my head is spinning at the thought of getting my hands on these wonderful goodies. I am always working on Altered Books, Journals and cards. I’m going right this minute to straighten up my craft room so I could get busy immediately, should a special package arrive. Thanks for the opportunity to dream.
What a wonderful giveaway. I would use to goodies to make a small London book for myself.
I love making my own cards and envelopes and gift wrap ideas so I would definitely use some of this prize for those.. So beautiful, thanks so much for the chance to win:)
Thanks for another awesome giveaway! I am debating between creating a paper theatre (I’ve been eyeing the stuff in your shoppe for a while!) or making a journal with the papers, perhaps set the scene on a two page spread or something. A kind of hybrid of the two … hmm! possibilities!
This would be such a fun bit of projects.
When you first announced the fan swap I was really tempted to join.
I just think that what you’ve put together is so beautiful, I would
love the chance to work with it without having to purchase more product.
wow that would be a hard decission. I have wanted to make a configuration box for ever..actually several of them. I have purchased alpha stamps cute little bottle and i have been following tutorials on making them..this paper would make wonderful alteration boxes. I also recently finished a coaster swap and i think I am addicted.with my bird cage stamps i purchased from alpha look out. and then there is alice…..need i say more?
hugs,
susan salyer
Thanks for a wonderful drawing. I would use the goodies to do vintage scrapbook pages. Plus it would be fun to try some other paper projects…ATC, fan, etc….I have never tried…still pretty new to papercrafting. I found out about you on Artfully Musing site..
I would try my hand at a fan and then use the rest for my journal and cards. Great give away!
I have a blank canvas that I have wanted to alter, but was not sure what I wanted to do with it! These beautiful papers would be the perfect background to use with some vintage lace & ephemera I’ve collected!! Thank you so much for the chance!!!
debpaint16@aol.com
How can I enter the Giveaway (or can I?) without swapping or purchasing?
Love these papers and I love London! I would use them to create chip board booklets for my grandchildren in northern California, whom I don’t see very often. And then use the rest in my journal. I have never entered a giveaway but these papers are so cool.
Every little thing on your site is perfect! Every time I have placed an order, it takes me awhile to make a final selection, your things and samples are so great! And the give away as always is perfect!!!
I would make a shadow box frame, to hold a few lovely pieces of vintage jewelry. I think also a mini album to house some vintage pics of my grandparents.
All these items would make for the most delightful folly set in layers in an antique box. So much to look at and be inspired by. Hope springs eternal. As always a most wonderful giveaway!
what gorgeous images and goodies! i would love to win this!
Oh, please, count me in — love this collection!
I think I would start by making a tiny little altered match box using some of the perfume labels and one or two of those gorgeous little roses. Next I would make a tiny altered journal with the 18th Century cameo in the brass setting on the cover, and I would use bits and pieces of all the papers for each page. I think I might ty my hand at using some of the faces from the various collage pages to make some charms. Then I would move on to make a fan book using the fan blades and whatever is left of the various papers, roses and Marie fibers. Lastly, if there’s anything left, I would make a few inchies or perhaps some rolled paper beads. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING goes to waste! What an inspiring give-away!
I think the papers are perfect for a set of fans, then a book – a book of patterns, like the books ladies years ago looked through. Beautiful drawings from which you choose the material and embellishments. What a dreamy way to imagine life so far back. Anyway, the fans and cameos would be the perfect embellishments for various outfits in the ‘book’ and I’d have a whole lot of fun. Whoo hoo. Theresa Goldman
There are so many things you can do with all of these wonderful papers and embellishments. Large Tags, 4×4, and journal papers. I love Marie! I am so lucky to in this drawing for such wonderful goodies.
Wow, what a hard question. I’d throw them up in the air and sit under them as all the lovely goodies fell down around me. I’d then see some lovely, unexpected justapositions of papers and trims to use on my fan blades. Maybe I’d use them for the Perfume Fan exchange and maybe I’d just make a really fancy one for myself. I’d look so elegant fanning myself in the line at the grocery store! I see enough paper for lots of ATCs too, and lovely embellishments for them. I might just keep the elegant flowers for me in an altered candy container that looks like a miniature soda pop bottle that I covered in stamped papers.
I would love to win the London Market papers. I have the stamp set :-),but not the papers :(. My family is from France & Italy and my mom just passed away recently. I miss her terribly, but would love to take some of the older photos I have of her and collage them with the papers and stamps I have. She has that very old style European look to her…and can see how cool it would be in my head already…I love all the products Alpha Stamps has. Completely Addicted!
this i would enjoy doing a collage in a frame to my new countryhouse. I love london and English movies a la Jane Eire and that would inspire me
All are just wondeful and I can doooo soo much with it all. I do cards, Atc, scrapbooking and anything else I can do with paper. There is not a bad one in the bunch. I want it all!!!!
The door leading into my master bedroom closet is just begging for a piece of decorative art. This romanic themed giveaway would be the perfect jumping off point for that special centerpiece on my door with the three old beaded purses my husband has given me over the years as accents. Thank you for the chance to win this wonderful gift.
What a wonderful giveaway! I’m working on some decorative mattes for some photo frames and these would be wonderful embellishments!!
My mind is full of ideas. I would love to make the fan. I like the shape of the fan.I could see making it and then framing it in a shadow box.
I am making an altered book about my maiden name, Enderby, which is English. Some of the Papers would be so great for that project.
I thank you for the giveaway. Good luck to all.
Debbie P.
I have just started making these little works of art and have totally fallen in love with doing them. The possibilities are endless. These papers are calling my name to create a romantic little altered book. I love anything vintage and love the color hues. Thank you for the chance to win some of these great products. Hopefully, I can finally get the opportunity to actually own some of the products you sell that I have been drooling over owning!!!
Diane D.
I just love this theme. I can think of a really vintage pennant and of course a fan fit for a victorian parlor. But I have been focused on Altoid tins lately. It would be like a kid in a candy store!!
OOOoooo….there are so many things…but i think I would make a wall hanging of some type…I need something for my bathroom so that comes to mind…and the leftovers would be awesome for cards…thanks for the chance to win!
So lovely!! I am working on personal journey collages and multi-media paintings, these pieces would be so much fun to play with!
I would use these lovely products to enhance another of my hand bound books to give to a friend for her birthday or maybe just to see her smile!
gorgeous – Marie Antoinette here I come
Love the colors and the fans are so cool! Have been experimenting with altering whatever I think will work.
How exciting and romantic….fabulous!! Just the thing to create to make you forget about the woes of the day ~ such as how much we have to pay for gas!! Thank you for such a lovely giveaway!!
I almost forgot….I think I would create a “gratitude journal” with these lovelies!
I am working on a chipboard board book of Marie Antoinette and this stuff would just be perfect for finishing it!!!
Love this stuff! I’ve already signed up for the swap. Love this swap and all the goodies!
I need a project to release my inner romantic self, I’ve been stuck since Valentine’s day, this theme would be wonderful to work on, can’t wait to get started! I love the fan shapes, the colors, the possiblities…..just love it.
I have had the worst two year spread in my life recently, mother dying, son leaving, losing home, bankruptcy, and I could keep going. The sad part for me is that I haven’t been able to create since this all happened. It is as though my artistic drive has been put on hold or something. Looking at these beautiful items I finally felt some inspiration, a desire to join this fan swap (If I could afford to purchase the items necessary to enter)and pray that little by little this step would bring me back into the artistic, crafting, creative self I used to be. The samples of the fans above are just lovely and I would really be inspired by the chance to create one.
I would use these to add to my grandaughter’s ever growing room decor by her Meme “the artiste” as she says
I didn’t enter the swap, but I’d probably make a fan anyway…
Should I win all these lovelies, I would immediately call my friend Avril to rent her apartment in Paris. Then I would scoop up my new treasures, pack them and take them with me to Paris where I would create a lovely fan–you know how difficult it is to find a beautiful fan, even in Paris–and then I would go to the neighborhood flea markets to find just that final, perfect embellishment. Of course, I would buy duplicates to share with my Alphastamps friends. Sigh.
I would love to win this lovely set. Thank you for the opportunity.
