I just love ornament. The new Marrakech collection (and exclusive rubber stamps — designed by Burcu Arat Sup from Mujka Design) are filled with luscious ornament.

There are two 12″ Scrapbook Paper Sets, filled with beautiful Moroccan patterns, including a cute elephant print. And two 6″ x 6″ Paper Pads (including miniature versions of the larger papers, printed in small sizes for cards or paper dolls or… who knows what uses you’ll find).

One of the 6″ pads is actually from another collection, but I think the colors and Art Nouveau patterns in the Ambrosia papers work beautifully with the Moroccan prints.

There are also coordinating Ambrosia/Marrakech Chipboard “Sticker” Shapes — “Stickers” is in quotes as I’d treat them more like adhesive-backed, printed chipboard. Beautiful Art Nouveau-inspired prints on the front (a portion of the Ambrosia set is shown at left), with adhesive pre-applied to the backs (just punch one out and stick it on some pretty paper and you’d have an instant ornament). Paisleys, peacock feathers, stylized flowers, a butterfly and text.

And there are 3 packages of coordinating Rub-Ons, one of which is on sale: a little booklet with five 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ sheets of color rub-ons (pretty flowers, text and swirls).

The Eastern Doodles rubber stamp set was designed to coordinate with all those beautiful papers. The set has borders (some are shown at the top right of this newsletter) and images created by the Canadian illustrator Burcu Arat Sup (aka Mujka Design). Single images of the Peacock and Scroll/Leaf Border are available separately.

Elephants & Peacocks

The Marrakech Clear Stamp Set is a cute little set, with an elephant, large & small peacock feathers and floral elements.

With all these Eastern designs, I had to find some extra Elephants & Peacocks:

Elephant Postcard Book
Adorable postcards reproduced from vintage children’s stories. 30 large postcards (perfed for easily tearing out of the book). Postcards are 4-3/4″ x 6-1/2″. The backs are printed with a vintage “Postcard” graphic (with the normal space for writing notes and address).

Large Brass Peacock Charms
Fairly large (approx. 2-1/2″ tall). They have indentations in their tails (meant to hold rhinestones, but I also like them as texture).

Elephant Charms
Lead-free pewter. Approx. 3/4″ wide.

Small Peacock Charms
Antique brass-plated cast pewter. Tiny. Approx. 3/4″ tall (with the loop).

Miscellaneous

Ornate Oval Silver Charm Frames
Set of 6; 5/8″ wide (the opening is approx. 3/8″ x 1/2″). Antiqued silver color (not sterling). Note: the backs are not solid, but they have tabs on the back to hold the artwork in place. The frames come with white cardstock and clear acetate pre-cut and inserted in the frames.

Each book has 8 pages and is made of thick chipboard, which makes them easily alterable and/or paintable (the first page is die cut in concentric “scrolls” that you can pop out and use as frames or overlays).
