Guest Designer Barbe Saint John

Filed under Art Projects, Guest Designers, Jewelry

The wonderfully talented Barbe Saint John is the April Guest Designer for Alpha Stamps. She has created beautiful works of art in jewelry for us and we are very excited to share her creations with you!

I am a San Francisco based mixed media artist, working with forgotten, found and re-purposed materials.

I love to take the old, forgotten, discarded, broken, rusted, orphaned and things considered worthless and turn them into wearable works of art. Each tiny piece has a fragment of a story and a hint of a secret that longs to be revealed. When combined they come to life like a phoenix rising from the ashes with a story and energy all their own. Like an archaeologist, I hunt for these bits of treasure and discover their hidden purpose.

My work has been published various publications including: Make it Mine Magazine, New Witch Magazine, “Art in Motion” book, “Artist Trading Cards Workshop: Create. Collect. Swap.”, “Intertwined: The Art of Handspun Yarn” and the soon to be released “Steampunk Style” book. My work has also been and sold at galleries across the country such as Redux Gallery, Art Stream Gallery, Shooting Gallery, Artist Xchange, and Worthington Gallery West.

You can find the rest of the fabulous jewelry that Barbe Saint John created as well as the items used in her creations in the Alpha Stamps Gallery.
