Brothers’ Grimm Fairy Tales

Filed under Collage Sheets, Grimms' Fairy Tales, New Products, Rubber Stamps, Swaps

I’ve been laid up recovering from some oral surgery (ugh) so I’ve been pouring over many, many books. And, Lenna Andrews is hosting a Grimm-themed swap due in late June 2008. So, I’ve gone a little crazy and have just posted twelve (yes, 12 — I know, a lot) new collage sheets all based around the Cinderella story. I’m working on a few more collage sheets (and rubber stamps) for the Grimms’ Tales (Sleeping Beauty and Snow White will be first) but I doubt I’ll have the time for quite that many sheets per story.
Many of the new sheets will be useful for other Grimms’ Tales (or other projects), too, like “Happily Ever After” and “At the Ball”.

One of the new sheets (Cinderella Borders) is available as clear stickers. They’re not die-cut, but as the stickers are clear, you needn’t cut perfectly. Archival and permanent adhesive. See ATC sample at right (using the Crows #2 collage sheet) by Wendy Anderson. We’ll have more collage sheets available as clear stickers in the future.
I’ve posted a Brothers’ Grimm Fairy Tales page in the kits/theme section (with an intro and links to background info on the Tales I’ve listed) that lists all the links (all over the site) to collage sheets, rubber stamps, ephemera, charms, etc., that are related. There’s also a place to sign up for updates, if you’d like to receive an email when new Grimm-related things are added.

In addition to the collage sheets, here are some of the new Cinderella-y things:

Mice Border Rubber Stamp
Perfect for Cinderella (or maybe Hickory Dickory Dock). A fun border with mice running over a hand-drawn checkerboard floor. It’s shown reduced in size here (it’s about 4″ wide).

– Chunky Crown Rubber Stamp
In addition to the 3 sizes of 4 crowns we already had, I thought this one would be a good stamp for repeating as a background.

3 Pewter Bird Charms
A swan, a goose with egg (Could be “Geese a-Laying” for the Twelve Days of Christmas) and a singing (or “calling”) bird. (In the German version of Cinderella the clothes for the Ball are brought by the birds that Cinderella had befriended.)

“Fairytale Gems” Accordion-Fold Card
A beautiful folded card/envelope set that includes illustrations and synopses of many fairy tales, including Cinderella.
