I’m happy to announce a new series of collage sheets from the wonderful vintage postcard collection at Tallulah’s. Tallulah’s used to carry their own line of collage sheets, but they’re all here at Alpha Stamps now (which means they’ll be available on vellum, transparency and fabric, too, which they weren’t in the past).

Tallulah’s has been collecting photo postcards of French stars of theatre and music halls for decades, including Caroline Otero, the beautiful star of Les Folies Bérgere. Tallulah’s Web site offers historical info on many of the beauties shown on the vintage postcards used in these sheets.

We’ve got (the lucky number) 13 sheets posted now, with more to come in future weeks. One of the newest sheets is actually a set of 2 called “Paris Showgirls,” which includes a photo of Josephine Baker. Great stuff for collage art.

New Rubber Stamps

– 5 new Clown/Jester Stamps including the bookplate at right. Includes 3 stamps based on foolscap paper watermarks.

– Round Christmas 3-Stamp Set. Self-inking stamp with 3 interchangeable dies, including this cute “Don’t Peek” stamp.

– 3 new Paper Artsy stamps
3 mini sheets sized for ATCs… and pre-mounted on cling foam (cling-foam mounted stamps temporarily stick to clear acrylic blocks without any additional adhesive).

More Dresden

– Mr. Pumpkinhead. Another black, embossed paper scrap for Halloween.

– More Butterflies (with flowers). Set of 8 butterflies per sheet.

Vintage Ephemera

– Vintage Carded Snaps. The packaging is so good I don’t know that you’ll want to use these. Set of 8 snaps. ’40s or ’50s.

– Shoe Buttons. Tiny (under 1/4″) and unbelievably, are dead stock (meaning store store that was never sold). Carved shell with metal shank; over 100 years old. Very limited stock.

Some Miscellaneous Things

– Permanent, Temporary & Vellum Glue Dots. I was searching for vellum adhesive and found these sets. The adhesive is between 2 different kinds of clear plastic (one side comes off easily, so you can use the other side as a tool to apply the adhesive – then peel off the final plastic sheet). The permanent ones are the same glue dots included in the Ribbon Sachet Kits.

– Bees Wax Pellets & Melting Pots. Natural color “BeesWax” for melting & brushing over paper or canvas projects.

– Snappy Tray. Plastic tray with a funnel (for beads, glitter, powder, etc.). The corners snap & unsnap so the tray can be stored flat.

– Shakespeare Printed Cloth Tabs. Die-cut fabric tabs. Coordinates with one of the printed cloth tapes.

– Mermaid 3-Paper Set. These are the last few sets left over from a mermaid kit we had last spring. Beautiful colors. Three 12″ x 12″ sheets.
