Decorating the Halloween Tree
What? There's no tradition for decorating a Halloween tree? Well, there should be! Teri Calia has made an adorable one (that would lend itself to becoming an earring tree with a bit less drapey yarn "moss") built on a base that's adorable, too.
Starting with that base: it's a Mini Chest of Drawers with 9 tiny little 1-1/2" drawers. This is a kit to put together the Masonite chest (more like a bookshelf) and all 9 chipboard boxes. (Yes, you have to put it together yourself, but instructions are included and it's easy.) Teri covered the drawers and chest with papers from the Lost & Found Halloween Scrapbook Paper Collection. And Teri even lined each little drawer with purple velvet... ready to become a tiny jewelry box.
Next, the tree itself. Teri created the tree out of Black Millinery Wire then wrapped it in Fuzzy Black Fibers. Ah, millinery wire. We have a long history. Needless to say it is very useful stuff (and definitely not just for making hats). More details and photos are below.
